Q. How much is it to Hire Revolution Band?

A. The best thing to do is get in contact with us so we can find out what you’d like for your event. Everyone wants something a little different, and factors such as start times/finish times mean that prices do vary. We always aim to offer a competitive quote so please do get in touch.

Q. Should I be nervous about booking a band I haven’t seen before?

A. We totally get the concerns about this.

All of the pictures and videos we create for you are a great representation of what you get.  Please check out our testimonials page to read from other happy clients. In most circumstances, it is not possible to see the band play live as we perform at private functions. We cannot obtain access and would hate to intrude on anyone’s special day or big event. Bands who regularly play publicly at pubs etc are probably not the type you would hire for an important private party, as pubs don’t pay the money required for top quality acts.

Q. Do you require a deposit?

A. A deposit is required in order to secure your chosen date. We require this to be paid within 7 days of confirming the booking. This is a non-refundable deposit.

Q. What happens if I cancel?

A. Cancellation by the client or the artist is not allowed once the booking is agreed verbally or electronically by both parties, except where Force Majeure applies. Where Force Majeure does not apply, a cancellation fee must be paid by the client. Details of these fees are in the terms and conditions that we send you before booking.

Q. How Long do you play for?

A. Our fee is based on us playing up to 2 hours of live music. How you split that up is entirely up to you, but we generally do 2 x 60 minute sets for weddings, and 60/90 minutes straight through for corporate events. We can play for longer, if required, at extra cost.

Q. Can you arrive in the morning or early afternoon to set up for an evening event?

A. If we are available, yes. However an extra fee will be applicable.

Q. What’s the line up?

A. Revolution Band are a 6 to 12 piece band. The standard 6-piece line-up consists of a male & female lead vocalists, Keys, guitar, bass and drums. Our most popular line-up additions are extra male/female vocalists, sax, and percussion, but this will be an additional cost to get these included in your package.

Q. Do Revolution Band have Public Liability Insurance and is all your equipment pat tested?

A. Yes, Revolution Band has public liability insurance and all our gear is PAT tested. Documentation to prove this is available on request.

Q. How far will you travel?

A. We can travel all over the UK

Q. How much space do you require?

A. A minimum space of 5m wide x 4.5m deep is ideally what we’d require, but we have been known to squeeze into smaller areas when absolutely necessary. We will ask about the size of the space when taking you through the booking process.

Q. Will I need to provide any equipment for the band?

A. We do require that the venue has at least two standard power points situated near the performance space, but in regard to equipment the band is fully self contained with state-of-the-art PA system for up to 500 guests, sound desk and lights. The quality of our equipment is another element that allows us to bring you a top quality sound. We only use the best.

Q. Our event is being held outside, what are the requirements needed for this?

A. Open air events can be fantastic, and we are happy to play outside. However, we would need a suitable area, such as a covered stage or marquee/gazebo and suitable flooring to perform on. Potential rainfall and other weather conditions need to be taken into account. We will require access to at least two standard power points.

Q. How likely is the band line up to change on the night?

A. Revolution Band is a collective entity of some of the UK’s top session and professional musicians and is made up from a large selection of regular players. On occasion, not all band members are available for gigs due to touring commitments with named artists and so on. In this instance, another regular player will be drafted in to replace some one for the gig. All players are fully rehearsed up to the standard you would expect and always deliver an exceptional performance!

Q. Does the band require anything else i.e. food/drink and changing facilities?

A. Revolution Band would appreciate tea/coffee and soft drinks tab, it is a pretty standard requirement when booking any band. It’s usually best for the client to organize with the venue for the band to be included in the main evening food arrangements that the guests are taking part in. This is because the average working day of a gigging musician is generally around 12 hours or more, so any food you can provide them with will fuel an even greater performance!

A warm, lockable, and adequately sized dressing room is also a necessity to be available for the duration of band time onsite. This is to store our personal belongings and to get changed ready for the evenings performance, and also so that the band can keep out of the way of your guests.
